Cannot be enrolled in school or employed while participating in the program; Must meet U.S. Selective Service regisration requirements (if male); English proficiency; Access to technology needed to complete homework assignments outside of class.
About this program
Train to become a carpenter. You'll learn construction methods & materials, OSHA 10 safety, introduction to carpentry, & basic framing. Occupational Safety and Health Administration 10 teaches basic safety and health information to entry-level workers in construction and general industry. After completing the training, you'll be able to immediately enter the workforce. Participants will earn a Lone Star College certificate (Electrical I NCCER Residential Certificate) and the OSHA 10 Safety and Accident Prevention certificate and be prepared to take the NCCER Carpentry Level 1 license exam.
