Must be at least 18 years of age
A valid ID (e.g., passport or Texas ID) may substitute for a Driver's License. An HS Diploma or GED is required; GED support is available. To be accepted, applicants must pass the TABE Test, offered at Wesley Community Center every 1st and 3rd Tuesday.
About this program
Individuals receive academic, financial, and employability skills before beginning Medical Assistant coursework at either HCC, Lone Star College, or San Jacinto College. They also receive additional training and support to pass the Medical Assistant license exam. You’ll do 2 months of readiness training first, then 1 full year of classes and studying to get ready for your exam.
